Doreen is an experienced human services professional who has devoted her career to working with individuals of underserved communities using public service platforms at the intersection of behavioral health, disabilities awareness and restorative justice.
Her interests lie in creating “Conscious Curricula, “Conscious Media” and “Conscious Music”, educational tools, programming and services that promote the socio-emotional well-being and engender resilience in adolescents and young adults.
A highlight of her career has been serving as the co-founder and creative director of a tech start-up dedicated to to the design, engineering, production and implementation of functional AI-driven adaptive equipment to promote the independence of differently abled, neuro diverse, and aging populations, such that they can thrive independently and age in place.
She completed graduate studies in Developmental Psychology at The Johns Hopkins University. She most recently served in the public safety sector of the District of Columbia Government where she worked with incarcerated youth offenders.
Doreen is a proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
